What does the world’s most powerful radar map show?

An artist’s rendering shows what the world would look like with the Earth as a sphere and land as a single, flat area.

A NASA Landsat satellite map, showing the curvature of the Earth and its satellite Earths rotation axis, shows a vast swath of land covering much of North America.

The image was captured by the Landsat 8 spacecraft on March 20, 2020.

The image shows that land is at a constant, straight line from the Earth’s surface to the horizon, and the land mass of North American is about 1,000 square miles, or roughly the size of Florida.

The images were obtained by NASA’s Landsat Earth observation program.
